UNR Police Services

The UNR police department is the law enforcement agency on the UNR campus. Their office is located in the Student Services/ Fitzgerald Building. The UNR police officers patrol the campus and surrounding area 24/7, 365. The UNR police department also has a standing agreement with the other local law enforcement in their jurisdictions, so they may be involved with UNR students if a situation were to occur off of campus.  You may find more information on the UNR Police Department at unr.edu/police.

 
Campus Escort

Campus Escort is a service on the UNR campus that will safely drive you from one location to another. Their hours are from 7 pm to 1 am daily. They will pick you up and drive on campus and up to a two mile radius from campus.  Their phone number is 742-6808. Give them a call.

Counseling

Counseling service is a resource provided by UNR. The fee is included in everyone’s tuition, so it is like it is FREE! Counseling services is located in the Thompson Building, there office hours are 8 am to 5 pm. They provide many different types of counseling for all types of problems, and counseling can be given in individual or group setting. More information can be found at www.unr.edu/stsv/cs.

Health Center

The Student Health Center is the on campus health services located on the North campus. They are staffed by licensed physicians, practitioners, nursing staff, and pharmacy staff. You may find more information at www.unr.edu/shc.

Crisis Call Center

Crisis call center is a phone service that is 24/7/365. The phone lines serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking help.  All phone operators  are trained to handle all types of situations that can come up. Their numbers are 1-800-273-8255 & 775-825-HELP (4357).
