Major: Nutritional Science Major
Hobbies: Snowboarding, Taking pictures, hanging out with friends, playing Wii.
Why? I do this because sexual assault has happened to a few of my friends.  Its devastating seeing the effects it has had on them and their college experience.  Its something that not many students believe could happen to them, but the reality is that it can happen to anyone. My hope and goal in this program is to reach out to as many students so they are aware that sexual assault could happen but it doesn't have to if they take precautions and responsibility in their lives.

Name: Brooke Walker
Age: 21
Major: International Affair and Spanish
Hobbies: Dancing, Music, Running, Cooking, Journalism, Intramural Sports
Why? I became interested in representing a group such as Guarded by the Pack that works to prevent sexual assault because of personal experiences and those of both friends and family.  I would like my peers to be more aware of their surroundings and know the importance of avoiding dangerous situations; especially as a college student.  We should all become more informed of the ways to prevent sexual assault because it does happen: Fact - For every 1,000 women attending college, there will be 35 incidents of rape in a given academic year.  My request of every guy on our campus is this: When you know a man is disrespecting a woman, Stand Up, Speak Up, and Stop Rape.  My request of every girl on our campus is this: if you don't feel completely comfortable with a guy, don't be afraid to be "rude," and leave the situation.
